For our last project, we are now in the confirmatory stage of the course. This last project should be stronger piece in itself compared to projects in previous units, as we are able to be graded, merit or distinction as well as a pass. For my final piece, I want to make it a clear reference point to some of the previous units work that I have done, as throughout the course of this year I feel there has been a clear narrative storyline running throughout. Therefore my plan is to make a short film to conclude to the rest of my projects, I plan on sticking to the same style, and in keeping with the feel of the storyline to my previous works yet go further one step in my technical ability and my approach to production and post-production.
As most of my previous works have all had dark, menacing undertones to them, for the last time, I want to bring those themes to the center of my work and create a haunting final video. I will look at the genre of horror films and psychological thriller films as well as advertisements and other short moving image work. As well as this I will also look into the possibilities for displaying my work at our final exhibition, in a mini performance art piece.
