Soundtrack Possibilities

I feel the soundtrack for this project will be more important than ever. For the first time this year I plan on making my own completely original music score to go with the film. This way I am given complete freedom to structure the music around my ideas for the film.

Several different tracks have caught my attention recently all very different and all quite different. What I wanted to do was quite modern electronic music playing but also with stronger melodic references to classic horror movie synth sounds, sound effects and chromatic and minor phrases.

The production on this recent song really strikes me, the last part of the song, from about 3:00 onwards I find really interesting with the production values. Especially as this giant wall of sound gets taller and taller as the song builds up to a dramatic climax and ending at the end of the track.

This next track which I have looked at the video for also strikes me for being really interesting. The production values and the atonal synths which play throughout the track really go with the editing of the video and the erratic nature of the video.
